Incidentally, I apologize that there’s been such a long delay before my next update. The reason for this is because I’m in the process of moving, but I should be able to begin drawing the next episode as soon as I’m settled into the place where I’ll be living from now on.

In addition to this news post, a link to the store can now be found with the other links at the top of the page. Be sure to check back there from time to time, since I’ll be occasionally introducing new products as long as the existing ones are popular.

I’m intending to create an “affiliates” page for this site sometime soon; I’ll be sure to return the favor to Aaron and his comic when I do.

If it wasn’t obvious already who Mr. Pardalis’s student is based on, it should be now. And yes, what he’s describing is something that really happened.

If anyone’s wondering why the Prattmaster’s arm is in a sling, it’s because of what happened to him at the end of the previous episode.

The grand finale of my mini-series about Kent Hovind’s theme park, in which Captain Occam and Mr. Pardalis escape from Dinosaur Adventure Land, with Zedekiah and the Prattmaster in hot pursuit.

This is, by far, the longest I’ve ever spent drawing a single episode of this comic. I think the end result is worth it, but it contains a few in-jokes that a lot of people probably won’t get. For an explanation of them, see my DeviantArt account.

Part two in what I’m intending to be a three-part mini-series about Kent Hovind’s theme park. In this episode a new character is introduced, Mr. Pardalis reveals some of his credentials, and Captain Occam saves the day once again.

This episode will probably reveal more about Mr. Pardalis than any other that I end up drawing. The credentials he describes in panel 10 are exactly those of the paleontologist I’m friends with who he’s based on, including the part about his revolver. But this comic also contains one quote from him that’s lifted word-for-word from the video game character who’s always reminded me of. I’m not going to say which quote, but it’s probably obvious.

This comic introduces a pair of new characters; Mr. Pardalis and his student. Mr. Pardalis is based on a paleontologist I’m friends with in real life, whose appearance and personality are pretty much the same as they are in this comic. If he looks familiar to anyone else, that’s probably because I’ve always thought he had a striking resemblance to a certain video game character. You’d feel the same way if you met him in real life.

Just in case anyone isn’t aware of this, Dinosaur Adventure Land is the name of Kent Hovind’s creationist theme park. To the best of my knowledge, Dr. Hovind still doesn’t have a building permit for it.

The Prattmaster tries to get “intelligent design” taught in a school, only to be foiled once again by Captain Occam.

Needless to say, this is based on what American creationists tried to do in Dover, Pennsylvania. Some aspects of this are so similar to what happened in real life that they can barely be considered satire at all–the inimitable Jet Black provided one particularly amusing example here.
